Zorbit's Approach: Student Growth

When students enjoy learning, growth naturally follows suit. Kids love engaging with the activities within Zorbit's Math Adventure and it is largely due to our approach to math learning.

Math is Not a Problem to be Solved

It is an opportunity to explore. Resources in the Zorbit's toolkit are built on rigorous pedagogy and keep students playfully and productively curious. When presented with rich math tasks, students have the agency and freedom to test different problem-strategies which gives them ownership over their learning.

Six is made up of 3, 2, and 1.

This approach fosters an understanding that there are multiple solutions to every problem. When this is the case, students are more likely to incorporate new ideas and concepts into their existing knowledge base (or "schema") because they are able to approach a problem from familiar perspectives or explore something completely new. This is the goal of personalized learning but when you have 20 or 30 students, it can be a logistical nightmare!

Zorbit's rich math tasks and approach to adaptable content make personalized learning more accessible which promotes student growth.
